Berkreviews.com Movie Club – The Ides of March (2011)

The political theme of November continues this week with The Ides of March (2011). It is directed by George Clooney and stars him along with Ryan Gosling, Paul Giamatti, Phillip Seymour Hoffman, Marissa Tomei, and Even Rachel Wood. Neither Jonathan (@berkreviews) nor Corey (@coreyrstarr) had seen this film before and they had very different reactions to it. Before they get started, they discuss what other films they’ve been watching since the last episode.

Next Week: Selma (2014)

For the last film for November, Jonathan selected Selma. The movie is directed by Ava DuVernay and stars David Oyelowo, Carmen Ejogo, and Tim Roth. It’s a film that Jonathan has been wanting to get to for some time and fits perfectly at the end of this month of politics.

Berk Reviews Movie Club – General Info

Corey and Jonathan both realized they had a ton of movies they’d never seen. In an effort to work through their gap list, they started this podcast to ensure they at least check one new film off the list almost every week. Thus, for a film to qualify for Movie Club one or both have to have never seen it or at least not seen it for a long time.
