Movie Club – Subs Not Dubs – The 400 Blows (1959)

Jonathan and Corey decided it was time to expand where the films they watched this year were coming from. In the new series, Subs not Dubs, the podcast focuses on films that are not in English. Utilizing a variety of streaming services and some purchased films, Jonathan and Corey will visit a variety of locations through the windows that are movies.

Starting with this episode, Movie Club is going to be bi-weekly most of the time. The general idea is the same, each week Jonathan (@berkreviews) or Corey (@coreyrstarr) chooses a movie that they have not previously seen, or at least not for many years. The movies are pulled from a series theme to help narrow down the choices. They get together on the show to discuss their thoughts on the film from its history to the overall production. The series will always be at least three movies and usually go to five or six with Jonathan and Corey alternating picks. In between series, a one-off episode of Mint in Box, movies that they own but haven’t seen, or Now Streaming, movies currently on a streaming service they subscribe to, will be used as a palate cleanser. On occasion, the show may have interviews or guests to discuss movies, movie news, or some movie-related topics.
