The last episode for October features Corey’s (@coreyrstarr) pick Starry Eyes (2014). The film is directed by Kevin Kölsch and Dennis Widmyer and stars Alex Essoe, Amanda Fuller, and Noah Segan. Jonathan (@berkreviews) hadn’t seen this one either and both found some positive elements about it. However, the body horror was a bit much for both making it hard to really watch at times. November brings a new theme for Movie Club and it’s politics. Jonathan had the first pick and he went with Mr. Smith Goes to Washington (1939). The movie is directed by Frank Capra and stars James Stewart, Jean Arthur, and Claude Rains. Corey hasn’t seen the film either so it’s a first for both of them.
Berk Reviews Movie Club – General Info
Corey and Jonathan both realized they had a ton of movies they’d never seen. In an effort to work through their gap list, they started this podcast to ensure they at least check one new film off the list almost every week. Thus, for a film to qualify for Movie Club one or both have to have never seen it or at least not seen it for a long time.
