For this episode of Berkreviews.com Movie Club during August’s month of High School movies, Corey (@coreyrstarr) selected Rushmore (1998). The film is a favorite of Jonathan’s (@berkreviews), but one that Corey had somehow missed. It’s directed by Wes Anderson and stars Jason Schwartzman, Bill Murray, and Olivia Williams. The two discuss what they liked or maybe didn’t about the film that gave us Schwartzman!

Jonathan picked Fast Times at Ridgemont High as it’s a widely popular high school film that he hasn’t seen. Directed by Amy Heckerling and starring Sean Penn, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Judge Reinhold, and Phoebe Cates, it’s considered by many to be a comedy classic. Corey saw it once before but says its been a while. Unfortunately, antibiotics it’s not currently available with any subscription services, but you can rent it on VOD almost anywhere.

Berk Reviews Movie Club – General Info
Corey and Jonathan both realized they had a ton of movies they’d never seen. In an effort to work through their gap list, they started this podcast to ensure they at least check one new film off the list almost every week. Thus, for a film to qualify for Movie Club one or both have to have never seen it or at least not seen it for a long time.
