Berkreviews.com Movie Club episode 073 – Brokeback Mountain (2005)
For the month of June, Jonathan (@berkreviews) and Corey (@coreyrstarr) chose to do LBGTQ+ films. The first selection was Brokeback Mountain (2005), a film that Jonathan has had on his gap list for a while. Corey had seen it before but she felt like she may not have given it a fair chance. The movie is directed by Ang Lee and stars Jake Gyllenhaal, Heath Ledger, Michelle Williams, and Anne Hathaway.
Next weeks episode is Milk (2008)
Corey selected Milk for the second film for the month of June. It is directed by Gus Van Sant and stars Sean Penn, Josh Brolin, Emile Hirsch, and Diego Luna. Berk Reviews Movie Club – General Info
Corey and Jonathan both realized they had a ton of movies they’d never seen. In an effort to work through their gap list, they started this podcast to ensure they at least check one new film off the list almost every week. Thus, for a film to qualify for Movie Club one or both have to have never seen it or at least not seen it for a long time.
