For the last selection of the best picture winners, Jonathan picked Kramer vs. Kramer. Neither Corey (@coreyrstarr) nor Jonathan (@berkreviews) has seen the 1980 Best picture winner. The film is directed by Robert Benton and stars Dustin Hoffman, Meryl Streep, and Jane Alexander. It’s a film that’s premise sounds like it’ll be a tough watch, but a movie that needs to be checked off our gap list.

The month of April is movies from the ’80s that we missed. The first one on the list is Paris, Texas is a film that both Jonathan and Corey have heard a lot about since Henry Dean Stanton’s death. The film was directed by Wim Wenders and stars Harry Dean Stanton, Nastassja Kinski, and Dean Stockwell.

Corey and Jonathan both realized they had a ton of movies they’d never seen. In an effort to work through their gap list, they started this podcast to ensure they at least check one new film off the list almost every week. Thus, for a film to qualify for Movie Club one or both have to have never seen it or at least not seen it for a long time.
