Berk Reviews Movie Club episode 063 – Ordinary People (1980)

Continuing our month of watching Best Picture winner’s one or both of us missed, Corey (@coreyrstarr) selected the 1981 winner, Ordinary People (1980). The film is directed by Robert Redford and stars Donald Sutherland, Mary Tyler Moore, Judd Hirsch, and Timothy Hutton. Jonathan (@berkreviews) watched this film a few years back while researching for a screenplay he was writing.  Yet, he didn’t remember a lot of the film until this rewatch.

Next week we will be watching Kramer vs. Kramer (1979)

Neither Corey nor Jonathan has seen the 1980 Best picture winner. The film is directed by Robert Benton and stars Dustin Hoffman, Meryl Streep, and Jane Alexander. It’s a film that’s premise sounds like it’ll be a tough watch, but a movie that needs to be checked off our gap list.

Berk Reviews Movie Club – General Info

Corey and Jonathan both realized they had a ton of movies they’d never seen. In an effort to work through their gap list, they started this podcast to ensure they at least check one new film off the list almost every week. Thus, for a film to qualify for Movie Club one or both have to have never seen it or at least not seen it for a long time.
