Top Five Movies… Episode 058 – War
With the release of the highly anticipated Christopher Nolan film, Dunkirk, we decided to look to war movies. Jonathan Berk (@berkreviews), Corey Starr (@coreyrstarr), and Michael Sanchez (@servermonkey) picked their top five favorite war films, but used their own criteria to define what qualified a movie as such. They didn’t just choose battle films or films where you even see the fighting at all. Some times it’s about the impact or a war fought off the battlefield.
Jonathan’s list:
5. The Exception (2016)
4. Eye in the Skye (2015)
3. Lawrence of Arabia (1962)
2. The Devil’s Backbone (2001)
1. Inglorious Basterds (2009)
Michael’s list:
5. Gallipoli (1981)
4. Tora! Tora! Tora! (1970)
3. Titus (1999)
2. Platoon (1986)
